Pileated Woodpecker
I unexpectedly happened upon this guy early in the morning. He was dancing around the tree looking for food, occasionally enlarging some holes, occasionally eating. I loved the colors in the background offset against the woodpeckers reds and blacks. Add in the fact that I never realized that they had a tongue like that and it made for a photo I really loved.
